Jayde Online is headquartered in Winnipeg, Canada and employs staff locally as well as in the United States. The company also outsources work to professionals in India, Romania, Argentina and other parts of the world.

Executive Team

Mel Strocen - President and CEO, Jayde Online Network - Mel Strocen held a senior executive position in an international, Canada-based management and development corporation for 15 years. In 1996, he founded Jayde.com, one of the first web directory and search engine sites on the Internet. Jayde Online gradually evolved from a simple directory site to a full-featured search engine with over one million members, indexing more than 30,000 unique URL's daily. In 1999, he co-founded the iEntry Network, one of the largest newsletter networks on the Internet. In 2001, Mr. Strocen sold his ownership interest in iEntry and founded the Jayde Online Network, currently comprised of 20 websites, including the highly visited sites GoArticles.com, SiteProNews.com, and ExactSeek.com.

In June 2005, Mr. Strocen founded the Independent Search Engine & Directory Network (ISEDN.org), established for the purpose of offering webmasters and site owners a reasonably priced advertising alternative to the major pay-per-click search engines. He is currently focused on expanding and building the Jayde Online and ISEDN networks, as well as developing, marketing, and promoting the AdEffective initiative as a founding partner.

Barry Green - Vice President, Business Development, Jayde Online Network - Barry Green is a sales and business development executive and industry consultant with over 25 years of experience. He is the Vice President of Business Development for Jayde Online, Inc. and was largely responsible for the foundation and growth of the Independent Search Engine & Directory Network for Jayde Online in mid-2005.

Prior to working with Jayde, Mr. Green held the position of Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Submitnet.net where he headed the sales, partnership, and business development functions. During his tenure there, Submitnet.net grew into one of the largest SEOs in the world with over 70,000 clients, doubling revenues per client in less than 14 months. He also implemented and managed over 500 partnerships with companies, including Yahoo!, Amazon, Miva, Excite, Kanoodle, Jayde Online, CI Hosting, 1and1 Hosting, Overture, Internet.com, Cisco, and others in the search engine, web hosting, and web development markets.

Mr. Green's past associations include working in sales management positions at companies such as NorthernLight.com search engine, MediaSpaceSolutions.com, OnRadio.com, and MicroTimes magazines. He is the founder of the Santa Cruz Express and the Santa Cruz Weekly.

Murray Hunter - Chief Technical Officer, Jayde Online Network - Murray received his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science in 1995. He was employed as a LAN Technician for the Computer Services Department at the University of Manitoba for 2 years and as Internet and LAN Support Specialist for King Optical Group in Winnipeg, Manitoba for 18 months.

Murray has over 15 years Internet experience which led to his involvement in numerous Internet ventures. In 1996, he co-founded and developed the Canadian Apartments for Rent On Line (carol.ca) web site, which provided a search engine for apartment listings. In 1997, he joined Jayde Online and served as Jayde's programmer and systems administrator. A year later, he developed the Jayde directory search engine and database system which he oversaw until he assumed the position of Chief Technology Officer at iEntry, Inc. in Lexington, KY in 2000. In 2002, Murray returned to Canada to assume the position of Chief Technology Officer for Jayde Online, Inc. He is currently responsible for overseeing all issues concerning hardware, software, and company website administration and support.

Mark Smalley - Director of Sales, Jayde Online Network - Mark is a lifelong entrepreneur. He began his Internet adventure in 1994 as the lead columnist for Yahoo! Unplugged. Mark has advised dozens of profitable start-up ventures, and he is considered one of the top Internet advertising sales professionals. He oversees the rapid advertising sales growth on the ExactSeek network and Jayde Online Inc. ventures.
